よく写真は「切り取れ」というけど、少し勘違いしていたのか、未だに勘違いしているのか、よくわかっていない。
手前のレリーフをそれらしくみせようと上下左右にカメラを動かし(もちろんこちらの体も動いたけど)、切り取ったのは上の写真になる。
こういう構図が良いとか悪いとかよりも、こういう画面になるようにしたのは僕自身であるが、この写真からはこの庭の様子なんて全く分からないってことに気が付き、愕然としている。
庭にはこのプレートがあるのは事実。このにあるものは事実を写している。しかし、この写真をもってこの庭を知ることはできない。むしろ、想像をミスリードする可能性がある。
そういうミスリードを促す写真のトラップが面白いといえば面白いのだが、写真ってそういうものなのかは分からない。
それでいいのだろうか？

この写真を観た人はどんな風景を思い浮かべるだろうか。
いまどき珍しい木枠の窓枠。しかも枠は白ペンキが剥がれ微妙に洋館っぽい。
窓の中には植物が見える。外壁にバラ？のレリーフがある。
だから、きっとこれはバラを栽培(養生)している温室のような建物の外壁の一部に見えるんじゃないかと思う。

我が愛犬「まる」である。
28mmのまま撮ってしまった。相手は勝手きままに動き回るので意図的な構図(切り取り)はない。
近距離での広角レンズのせいか口元が横に広がって、なんとも例えようのない愛くるしい笑顔になっている。
私から見て、まるが私の呼びかけに笑顔でこたえてくれた良い写真にしか見えない。
本当に笑みかけてくれたのか、それはまる自身にも分からないのではないだろうか(笑)
今みても、シャッターを押して良かったと思える写真だと思う。
