僕は、この駅を多くの人が利用していた時代をしらない。
駅名がホーローの看板？だったことも記憶にない。
天井から下がるホーローの電球傘は、やはり昭和を感じる。橙色の柔らかく暖かい灯火がホーロー傘で優しさを増して乗降客を迎え見送ったに違いない。
当時の時刻表を窓ガラス越しに撮っておく。
一日５往復。
当時は、採算性よりも利便性を重視して交通手段を提供してくれていたみたい。
上りの朝２本は通勤通学だろう。昼は主婦のお買い物。2時間ほど買い物したら下りの列車にちょうど良い。
人々の生活に合った時刻表に思えて涙がでる。
全国的に同じだと思うのだけれど、こうした国鉄民営化に伴い、廃線となった線路や駅舎の多くは「交通公園」と名前を付けられて跡地利用がなされている。
多くの場合、駅舎を中心に数百m程度の線路を残し、その上にさび付いた気動車(SLの場合もある)、貨車などを展示？している。
なにをどう伝え残したいのか。
