曲芸ナウマン

地方都市に行くとその土地のウリが分かるようなオブジェが街路灯に施されている場合が多い。

街路灯の上に単にナウマン象が載っかっているだけかと思ったが、このナウマン風上に向くようになっている。風見鶏ならぬ風見ナウマンといったところだ。

ところでレンズは拭くな！というのが大原則のようだが、実際のところどうなんだろう。
この写真を撮ったR4だが、いつもポケットに入れている為か、ポケットから取り出すときにレンズバリアーを開けてしまいレンズに指紋がつくことがある。まさか、そのまま撮るワケにもいかないので手持ちのタオルで拭いた。タオルで拭くってのはレンズへのダメージを考えると良くはなさそうだ。

朝のお散歩カメラ

だんだん夜明けが遅くなりいつもの犬の散歩の時間は微妙に暗い。暗いながらも明るくなるのも早く、微妙な色合いが面白いワケだが手持ちの機材はiPhone。

iPhone4はiOS5になってボリューム＋ボタンでシャッターが切れるようになった。僕のiPhoneはケースに入っていて微妙にボタンが押しづらく、手ぶれの元になっている。

一気に秋

すっかり秋は深まってしまった。先日までは日中の最高気温が一桁だったこともあり、街中にも紅葉の波が押し寄せてしまった。

素人写真家としては、春には桜、夏には空、秋には紅葉、そして冬は雪景色？
必須のロケーションではあるが、撮影の際には「見ごろ」というものがあり、その状態が最も美しくひとときというか一瞬がある。そして、それは光の具合に大きく左右されるので、撮影時の天候や時間帯の違いは撮影者自身のモチベーションにも影響することが少なくない。

毎日同じ場所を徘徊するだけではつまらないが、その一瞬というものはいつどこで現れるか分からない。
同じ場所の変化を察知するか、広範囲に撮影者自身の琴線に触れるものを探索するかは大きな問題ではない。
なぜなら、その一瞬はやはり偶然にやってくるものなのだろうから。

クリスマス

現場先で昼休みのお散歩カメラ。
近所に小学校があるので、そこの子供たちが自作の巣箱をかけたのだろう。このカラーリングにクリスマスを連想してしまった。

とてもかわいらしいカラーリングの巣箱でボタンで装飾もされている。鳥が自分の作った巣箱に入ってくれるように期待しながら外装に贅を尽くしたのだろう。

社会をナナメに見るおじさんてきには鳥がボタンを誤飲するんじゃないか。それは作った子供たちが望んでいることではないだろうから、先生が少しは教育的な指導をすべきじゃないか。とか思ってしまう。
自分の巣箱が他の誰の巣箱よりも素晴らしいんだ。だから自分の巣箱に入ってくれという願いもあるだろうからむげに起こることもできないなような気がする。

昭和６３年３月

たまたま仕事で近くに行ったので、旧国鉄士幌線士幌駅跡に立ち寄った。
僕は、この駅を多くの人が利用していた時代をしらない。
駅名がホーローの看板？だったことも記憶にない。

天井から下がるホーローの電球傘は、やはり昭和を感じる。橙色の柔らかく暖かい灯火がホーロー傘で優しさを増して乗降客を迎え見送ったに違いない。

士幌線は昭和63年3月22日に廃線となった。
当時の時刻表を窓ガラス越しに撮っておく。

一日５往復。
当時は、採算性よりも利便性を重視して交通手段を提供してくれていたみたい。
上りの朝２本は通勤通学だろう。昼は主婦のお買い物。2時間ほど買い物したら下りの列車にちょうど良い。
人々の生活に合った時刻表に思えて涙がでる。

全国的に同じだと思うのだけれど、こうした国鉄民営化に伴い、廃線となった線路や駅舎の多くは「交通公園」と名前を付けられて跡地利用がなされている。

多くの場合、駅舎を中心に数百m程度の線路を残し、その上にさび付いた気動車(SLの場合もある)、貨車などを展示？している。

なにをどう伝え残したいのか。

我が家もそろそろ

我が家の郵便箱というか新聞受けなんだが、当初のころから問題がある。
なにせ中身が取りづらい。蓋が開きづらいのだ。力任せに蓋を開けることもあるのだが、そんな時に限ってレールから外れアクリル性の蓋にヒビは入るは、割れるは、欠けるは！なのだ。

最近の郵便箱というか新聞受けは良いものがある。
現場で新興住宅地をうろうろすることが多いのだが、こんなのもあるんだなぁと。

惹かれる魅力

もの凄くカッコイイと感じたり、もの凄くかわいいと思ったりとなにか強烈に惹かれることってある。

お散歩ですか？

すっかり寒くなって来た今日この頃。
仕事のついでに神社に立ち寄りブラブラしてみた。

ここはエゾリスや野鳥を撮影に訪れる写真家たちが多い。自分は特に野生動物に不快興味はないので、そういうものを対象にしてワケではない。

手前の御神木にピンが合ってしまってちょっと目線が奪われてしまうが、やっぱ人のいる写真はどこか暖かい。特に母子の写真はなんというか本当に暖かいなと感じる。

今朝、新聞の記事でカメラ女子についての記事があった。
高校生の写真部員の男女比率が２：８だというのだ。私が高校生だったころ男子は100%だったのに(男子校だったけど：笑)！
写真甲子園での入選の男女比率は３：７だともいう。
カメラ付き携帯やプリクラで撮影に慣れている女子が、入手にハードルの低くなったデジイチの普及を背景に自分表現の手段として写真が「コミュニケーションツール」になっているという。

カメラ女子のネバリには感心させられる。彼女らはデジカメの最大のメリットであるプレビュー機能を使って、撮った画像をその場で真剣に評価し、ああでもないこうでもないと自分の思い描いた写真になるよう頑張っているのだ。カメラ付き携帯電話での撮影でさえそうしている姿を良く目にする。
ちゃっちゃっと撮って、その場で確認もせず、そそくさと帰る私なんかとはエライ違いだ。


それにしてもコンデジはAFのコントロールが難しいな。
